In addition, the winning entries were chosen based on their versatility in design for signage, letterheads, and police emblems.

City Park     The City of Southport welcomes you to our newly renovated web site!  "Home of the Cardinals", Southport is a metropolitan community with small-town charm.  Shops, eateries and park facility which have developed along with Southport's rich history, provide relaxing and easily accessible entertainment options.  Southport was established in 1832, and was one of the very first Marion County communities to be incorporated in 1853.  In 1969 Southport chose to be an "excluded" entity within Uni-gov, the consolidation of City of Southport OfficesIndianapolis and Marion County governments, retaining its unique presence on the edge of the big city.
As a separate government it has its own Mayor, City Council, Clerk-Treasurer, Police, and Park & Municipal Maintenance department.  This site contains information about services, permits, licenses, ordinances, regulations and fees for Southport.  City Council
